Eating nonstop

Think I was slacking at HV on a Sat night with all my buddies!

Really so much love for my friends who are always so on about meeting up!

Went to sweechoon!!

Always thought Sweechoon was meh.

But that day when I went every time was so yummy omg!

 The portugese egg tart is the bomb .. the pastry is so buttery and flaky! Damn nice!

I want to go for my sweechoon outings now.

 Decided to prepare myself a club sandwich hehe

 Went to meet my friends at Holland V ( yes, again ) and Everything with Fries is having a really good promotion!

2 bottles of beer for $9.90 and you get to choose Erdinger, Asahi, Heineken, Corona! Not bad right.

The one-for-one promo is only after 10pm but you can also enjoy the promo with a purchase of main dish. Don't have to go to Sauce for cheap $5 beer anymore !!

Hello! The past week has been super lovely for me!!

Favourite week of the year. 

Monday

Packed sandwich to work last week. I love Focaccia bread.  Made a ham + sauteed mushroom and chicken sandwich with melted cheese. 

Packed this for my friend! 

Always super happy when people like the food I prepare haha.

Hehe also got permission to end work earlier because my friend wanted to bring me out for Icecream woohoo!!!! Super happy finally got to try Salted Caramel. The ice cream was so nice. And cheap ley. two scoops of ice cream plus waffle only $8 ? Totally wanted to go next door to try Udders too but we didn't have enough time :'( Could also hop next next door for some Meng's kitchen lor. 

So shiok to stay in that area!

Been on a roll ( literally ) recently lol. I've been trying to make sushi when I'm free.

Took tuesday off and rot at home.

Wednesday

Went cafe hunting as part of my job on Wednesday.

DREAM JOB OR WHAT. 

We went to The Reading Room, formerly known as The Book Cellar.

Once we entered, I was blown! They have so many shelves of books. And Sophie Kinsella series were conveniently shelved at where we were seated. I just kept telling my friend " I don't want to leave".

Can see myself coming here so often. It's really a nice place to chill and read a book.They have so many types of books!1

The menu is inside the book. So cute!

Oh oh oh/ Tried Affogato for the first time it's DELICIOUS!! PLEASE TRY IT. 

Hahaha, my fried ordered it and I just wanted to take a sip. But as I was putting the cup down I picked it up to drink again, it was so yummy!!

Went to L'etoile after. Nothing much to rave about since we didn't try the food there.

Thursday

Fell sick so I didn't go to work. 

A kind soul delivered warm poached salmon from Ikea to my house. So sweet. Wanna melt into a puddle. 

Made sushi with tuna, tamago, crabstick and cucumber this time

Friday

Went to JB to do massage+ pedi hehe. So cheap think I spent less than 50$ on both. Wanted to eat seafood so badly but the rest wanted KBBQ. Wanna cry. I dislike korean food. But I like Bibimbap so I ordered that and it was not nice T_T Went to the thai club there and omg the girls there really cannot make it and the guys also... It's like no face + no body + no voice. I think I drank too quickly cos I kept losing in games I knocked out in the car on the way back. #weaksauce

Saturday 

 The only dog that I am not scared off. She kept doing merry go rounds under my leg hahaha. My rug now.

 Cooked lunch

 Then brought her out to Botanic Gardens for a walk! ( which turned out to be a really long walk because we got lost while finding food for thought lol ) So cuteeee

 She kept smelling the butt of the other dog so cute

Weather was insane. We gave up finding food for thought and went over to Serene Centre for icecream instead. The mango sorbet was so refreshing. Island creamery really never disappoints. 

Hanwei came to stay over after that. We had a very unhealthy night of fries and chips while watching how i met your mother and two broke girls. I can really only do things like that with my best friend.

Food diary

Hello, my attempt to eat healthy has obviously failed.

It is so tough to eat clean!! I only try to do so during dinner, since dinner is the meal I consume the most amount. Kinda defeats the purpose of eating clean if I don't do it all the way right? 

Had a bowl of comfort  cereal in the morning because i was abit sad the night before haha.

Tried to compensate the overly sugary breakfast with a light dinner.

Made a grilled chicken salad.

Plus two bowls for mimicake and the sister. Added sauteed mushrooms, eggs, lettuce, persimmon, long beans, crabstick, boiled and shredded chicken breast and corn!! 

But after that ... *guilty face* we decided to eat Satay and I even volunteered to go out to buy it lol.

Was bored at home so I whipped up some pancakes to make my Monday less blue..

Had stir fried broccoli +mushroom+tofu for dinner. 

Felt quite healthy.

Woke up the next day and made a whole meal tuna mayo sandwich.

Even the addition of tomatoes and lettuce doesn't make the mayo any less sinful right...

Wanted to have salad for dinner but the mother cooked porridge... and so I caved in :(

 And now I'm snacking on a carrot cake cupcake from Joe and Dough omg.. it's the nicest carrot cake I've ever eaten.. I'm in carrot heaven now. Omg..... I wish you can see my face now.. It's so so so soft and fragrant and delicious and the cream cheese frosting is not sweet at all but very yummy~~~ Oh, you little evil piece of scrumptious cake. I'm gonna punish you by sacrificing myself and putting you in my stomach, so don't come near me in future ok....

That's what I've been doing everyday... this is already my stay home day 4 because my exams are nearing!! I have a paper due tmr! Wanna cry a thousand years...

Bento + Cedele

Hello! 

Prepared a chicken mayo+ dried cranberries sandwich for myself this morning.

This was so good. I made a big bowl of it and both mamacake and the sister had it for breakfast too !

Soo good.

 Tuesdays are my no school days. I usually like Tuesdays because I only have to give tuition to one kid,

But today had me going to school for project meeting 12pm-3pm then I left for tuition 430-6pm, and then back to school for meeting from 7pm till dont know what time. When you have project meeting at 7 you know it's gonna be shit. 

So I made myself a cute bento to bring to school today.

Omg. Forgot how much I used to love to bring lunchbox for recess during secondary school.

Felicia and Hanwei love my mom's fried rice!!

Sometimes I bring fruity pebbles too, and buy milk from the canteen. Hhahaha.

Lunch boxes are so cute.

My mom even went crazy with me and bought me a thermos lunch box set and thermos flask to put soup. You know how ex those thermos shit are!!! 

Anyway, back to point, so I made a cute bento, and felt so freaking healthy. 

Cut up the sandwich into 4 mini triangles. Boiled some carrots. Added some cheese stars and pooh bear. Had 1/3 of a corn, a prune, and a car egg!! ^^

Idk why my friend was so shocked that i finished it because it's not a lot for an entire day?

Desperately trying to lose weight here, help!

Met my friend for a short while because he was near my school and I was gonna head back anyway.

And I got a dessert treat! Whee!!

Went to the Cedele at Wheelock. I love Cedele with all my heart. 

We ordered two scoops of icecream. Wild strawberry ( this was good! ) and vanilla beans ( but the vanilla beans taste in this was very faint. Really tasted like Nestle ice cream only. not worth it at all~) and a banana espresso cake. I love this cake I was so happy I had the whole cake for my 18th birthday I think. I don't know why I keep side tracking today, but yah anyway the waiter took the order as banana pancakes plus the icecream. So when we said we didnt order the pancakes right, they just scooped up our icecream from the pancake you know!! *SHOCKED* Obviously the icecream melted on the hot pancakes right. So they just served us half melted icecream. Not pleased. 

But the cake and latte made up for it. Could sip on the latte all day~

But of course the company was the loveliest :)

Dropped me back at school for my meeting!

Met Hanwei for a bit because she happened to be in town!

Went to check out some shoes and omg I love shoes... But I'm short and fat.. and so I can't wear shoes :'(
