Pasar Bella at The Grand Stand

Finally went to Pasar Bella ! :) 

I was so excited!! I have been bugging my friend to go there with me since forever!

The shops inside Pasar Bella. 

We walked passed Seventh Heaven and I was super excited again because I have been wanting to try their ice cream after seeing repetitive pics of the the cotton candy flavoured one ( right cone ) on instagram!

I had the Granny smith's apple pie with cream cheese ice cream. 

Really liked the apple bits inside. 

The cotton candy one tasted pretty much like paddle pop.

$4.50 / scoop

$7 for two scoops!  

$11.50 per pint 

I thought the pricing of the pint was pretty cheap as compared to other ice cream shops! And at $4.50 per scoop, the portion was pretty huge! ( The ice cream was never ending) 

You can't have two scoops on a cone so we had an individual scoop each.

 I love brown paper bag packaging. I wish super markets here uses brown paper bags instead!
Food that comes in brown paper bags always tastes better ! Don't you agree!!

Cute shop selling cakes ! Would have bought one to try but I was still having trouble trying to finish my never ending icecream. ( as mentioned previously) 

Seafood Paella

And you can also sample food from pork knuckles, to wine and cheese!

 They also have a fish market where u can have fresh sashimi and opposite it is a place that sells fresh seafood!

The eyes of this fish is damn scary right...It's damn big.It looks like those fake eyes thingy you use in arts and craft class last time. 

 The place that sells fresh seafood is called Ocean of Seafood !
I don't know if we are allowed to touch the seafood but my friend just KEPT touching them haha.

Once you have taken your pick, they will boil the lobster for you on the spot! And it came with miso butter and garlic butter.

OH. MY. GOD!!!

The garlic butter was damn good!!!  Like I actually wanted to drink the sauce up hahaha iKidding! but it's really so good! I thought this was better than The Cajun Kings!

Third and last lobster of July!

I've been eating so well recently right. 

Almost one lobster every weekend except it was crayfish last week which I couldn't eat because I think I'm allergic to it :(

Anyway there are other seafood like fresh oysters, prawns, crabs, clams, mussels and baby abalones! 

Can go try :) The garlic butter was really so good! Salivating at the thought of it. 

Pasar Bella was a lot smaller than I thought! But happy nonetheless that I finally came here . Happier that my friend accompanied me here despite only sleeping for 4 hours! Could live for simple weekends like this !

Anyway, on another note, I think I'm growing every day as a person.. and it actually feels good.

I learnt something yesterday, 

and it woke me up a little... 

I do not have to over think anymore, or feel that i'm unworthy for anyone anymore :)

Ahh... this actually feels really good.

Hello! The past week has been super lovely for me!!

Favourite week of the year. 

Monday

Packed sandwich to work last week. I love Focaccia bread.  Made a ham + sauteed mushroom and chicken sandwich with melted cheese. 

Packed this for my friend! 

Always super happy when people like the food I prepare haha.

Hehe also got permission to end work earlier because my friend wanted to bring me out for Icecream woohoo!!!! Super happy finally got to try Salted Caramel. The ice cream was so nice. And cheap ley. two scoops of ice cream plus waffle only $8 ? Totally wanted to go next door to try Udders too but we didn't have enough time :'( Could also hop next next door for some Meng's kitchen lor. 

So shiok to stay in that area!

Been on a roll ( literally ) recently lol. I've been trying to make sushi when I'm free.

Took tuesday off and rot at home.

Wednesday

Went cafe hunting as part of my job on Wednesday.

DREAM JOB OR WHAT. 

We went to The Reading Room, formerly known as The Book Cellar.

Once we entered, I was blown! They have so many shelves of books. And Sophie Kinsella series were conveniently shelved at where we were seated. I just kept telling my friend " I don't want to leave".

Can see myself coming here so often. It's really a nice place to chill and read a book.They have so many types of books!1

The menu is inside the book. So cute!

Oh oh oh/ Tried Affogato for the first time it's DELICIOUS!! PLEASE TRY IT. 

Hahaha, my fried ordered it and I just wanted to take a sip. But as I was putting the cup down I picked it up to drink again, it was so yummy!!

Went to L'etoile after. Nothing much to rave about since we didn't try the food there.

Thursday

Fell sick so I didn't go to work. 

A kind soul delivered warm poached salmon from Ikea to my house. So sweet. Wanna melt into a puddle. 

Made sushi with tuna, tamago, crabstick and cucumber this time

Friday

Went to JB to do massage+ pedi hehe. So cheap think I spent less than 50$ on both. Wanted to eat seafood so badly but the rest wanted KBBQ. Wanna cry. I dislike korean food. But I like Bibimbap so I ordered that and it was not nice T_T Went to the thai club there and omg the girls there really cannot make it and the guys also... It's like no face + no body + no voice. I think I drank too quickly cos I kept losing in games I knocked out in the car on the way back. #weaksauce

Saturday 

 The only dog that I am not scared off. She kept doing merry go rounds under my leg hahaha. My rug now.

 Cooked lunch

 Then brought her out to Botanic Gardens for a walk! ( which turned out to be a really long walk because we got lost while finding food for thought lol ) So cuteeee

 She kept smelling the butt of the other dog so cute

Weather was insane. We gave up finding food for thought and went over to Serene Centre for icecream instead. The mango sorbet was so refreshing. Island creamery really never disappoints. 

Hanwei came to stay over after that. We had a very unhealthy night of fries and chips while watching how i met your mother and two broke girls. I can really only do things like that with my best friend.

320 below nitro cream cafe // Thai Pan

Omg hi I've been damn sleepy recently I solemnly swear that someone has been drugging my food.
I usually come home around 11pm and sleep by 12am and wake up at 12pm the next day.
I'm not that kind who sleeps a lot so 12 hours for me is kinda an accomplishment...

haha anyway, that aside.
Went to 320 below Nitro on Sunday like finally!!!
You can watch them make the ice cream on the spot it's damn cool.

We ordered a Christmas Horlicks and some don't know what Fog I can't remember but it's Earl Grey and Vanilla. Haha !! So funny~ we both wanted the Christmas Horlicks because it was Horlicks + honey comb + oreo!! Super shiok combination. Btw we wanted to order a second cup but we didn't because we were going to eat dinner .The other ice cream was just meh~ YOU KNOW WHAT... They forgot to add sugar into our ice cream! yikesss! The both of us were like " wtf waste money. "
We thought it was supposed to taste like that since the earl grey taste was very strong. But we buay tahan so I wanted to ask them if it was supposed to taste like that, but before i finished my sentence, the staff very guiltily said " sorry I forgot to add sugar!" And I was like wth... if I didn't come ask you are just going to let me eat finish the tasteless icecream which costs nearly $6 !! RAAWRRRRR!!!!

But the christmas horlicks v nice please go and try~ I wanna try the oreo cheesecake one next time!

 Then... we went for dinner at this Turkish restaurant I think. Ordered a mixed kebab to share which was a bit frightening to me because I don't really eat meat right. But it turned out pretty good.

 Also got my nails done that day. My nails look so jelly I want to eat them everytime i look at them Haha anyway right~~ I am officially the most rough girl ever. My gellish chipped aftr the 3rd day omg. So embarrassing.

 Had diner at Thai Pan after work on Monday!! I HAVENT HAD THIS IN MORE THAN 3 YEARS. Oh butter squid , how I've missed you!

 And we were damn greedy la. We had like 4 dishes to share. First time trying olive fried rice. omg so nice~~ If you live in the West, you must must must try Thai pan. Cheap and good, love it. 

 SUPER FULL AFTER THAT. My friend said we cld go to the cheesecake cae since we were at Siglap. And I was like?? Still can eat!? But guess what I agreed to... beer T_T

The cup is as big as my face I need to use two hands to carry it . My friend and I tried to compete who can hold the cup for the longest which I obviously lost la damn freaking big and heavy.

It was such a simple and lovely day. Could get used to this.

Hello. It's Friday!!!

And I'm in an impossibly lazy mood. Woke up at 1030am and I'm still nuaing on my bed. It's 1pm now!

My blinds are still down and i'm just typing this on my bed lol. 

When my mom comes home and see what a sloth she has raised, she is going to scream.

This feels a bit like post break up period except that i'm not playing emo chinese songs to remind myself of my plight. 

Quite hyped up for tonight!! 

Wednesday was super fulfilling !! 

Happiness level was a 9.5/ 10 ! KEKEKE. 

Met Sijia and we went to The Fabulous Baker Boy!

It is just opposite Liang Court. Directly opposite Shanghai Dolly.

 Oh, we didn't know that they close at 6pm on Mon-Thurs!! By the time we got there it was already 5pm and they weren't serving food. Also only had 3 selections of cakes available. 

Need this in my room

 Had an ice latte. Honestly honestly... There's nothing to shout about this cafe too. But maybe if I had tried more things on the menu I would probably recommend it? Imo,  the RVV cake just tasted like a moist chocolate cake. It's also quite expensive at $8.50 a slice, and the slice wasn't big either.

Having that said, the cakes were indeed soft and not crumbly like other RVV. 

The view was nice too. It is a very nice place to chill and read a book!!

 Then we went to Taka because I wanted to check out some bags plus we were going for Laduree!!

But we just wanted to go check out Chanel Boy so we went in to take a walk.. and in the end...

OMG. 

That Sijia just encouraged me to spend a bomb, and I think I got posessed, I just bought it on the spot!

 Then we went to the Laduree store at level two.

We really took pic at every angle with the macaron lol. Abit sad also because you'll have to pay an additional $10 for the box if you purchase 6 macarons. That makes it about $32 ? Yikes!!

No money but die die wanna try so we had 4 haha.

SUPER HAPPY!!!

 These 4 costs $15.20. Ouch. The rose flavour is damn good. The rose scent is so strong!

Flew to heaven for a while. But nearly $4 for a pop, really very expensive !!

The pistachio tasted like pandan. ( maybe i just have cheap taste buds lol ) Marie Antoinette ( the tiffany colour one) was nice too. But we thought it tasted a bit like ice lemon tea? ( HAHAH REALLY BEGGAR TASTE BUDS )

 (Impromptu) went to meet Jorene, Xinyi, Florencia and Kelly at Central! 

And went for a little treat at Haato & Co after. 

This costs $8.90 only! Cheap hor. But I think it's very average only. 

Obviously we had to camwhore right! Omg really got damn high after that. 

I really love this group of friends. Everyt iem we are together we will really laugh like mad. 

Side track. Some guy just approached us and said he's setting up a company for single people. 

THEN WE ALL LOOKED AT EACH OTHER WITH THE " WTF" face, 

Then when he left we all kept discussing what makers him think we are all single.

But that's kinda right since only Sijia is attached out of the 6 of us.

Really enjoyed my day so much, I wish every weekend was like that.
