Two Fat Men // Jack the Giant Slayer

Hello. Went over to Parkway after school to do some work.

I can people watch the whole day.

I think this might just be my favourite thing to do on a free day.

While I was paying for my contact lens solution, my friend walked over with a box of Deloba biscuits, paid for it, and said " I bought this for you". 

I was puzzled of course, so I asked " why?" .

"Because it's nice!"

Aww. Such a lovely person.

 Headed to East Coast Road for Two Fat Men which is this Thai + Western food bar.

Weird much. I would call this confusion bar too.

Sometimes I like fusion restaurants because that means I have a wider selection, but down side to this is of course the fact that everything is done rather sloppily. 

Anyway my friend had the Portobello burger which was $13.90 and it came without fries!! 

So sad!

And it was super dry.. my friend thought it was not worth the price at all.

I had the Basil Chicken fried rice ( $6.90) which I read on EVERY review not to underestimate this plain looking plate of rice because it turns out to be the highlight of all the dishes.

So I was damn excited la.. then when I ate it right..

gua gua gua~~~

MEH? Is this really all that it is?

Maybe I should stop reading all these reviews because it gets my hopes up every time, which is also why I get disappointed all the time haha. But this was seriously mediocre. My friend rated this 6/10.

Tastes like food our moms can cook. The basil taste wasn't strong either.

Maybe I went on a wrong day. Owells.

Ok ok . Now this picture is the largest because. 

THIS WAS THE HIGHLIGHT.

Again, I read that the must orders are the basil chicken fried rice and the pork neck.

But because I'm not a fan of pork and plus my friend LOVES thai fish cake * swallows saliva* , we decided to order this.This was like $6.90 for 6 pieces I think.

But it turned out super awesome.

Like I think there was lemon grass or some herb in it that made it very flavourful plus they added long beans too which gave it an extra crunch . I've never tried a fish cake that has a crunchy texture so when I bit into it I had a shock. Like what the flying fuck is that. lol.. In my heart I was omg omg...please don't tell me it's a cockroach. Then my friend was like " it's long bean la!" Chey~~~

This is worth a try!

We also ordered a Tom yum soup which to us was the worst tom yum soup ever.

T_T It was edible but it couldn't be called Tomyum because it tasted like diluted seafood curry.

It wasn't sour at all, so after our food came (scared they spit into our food lol ) we asked for lime. 

But it was still alright only.

 Caught Jack the Giant Slayer after that.

It is damn nice please go and watch it. It kept me in the show for the whole 2hours.

So exciting!!

It's a twist to the normal Jack and the Beanstalk story but still very nice!!

Anyway... If you watch Skins , you'll recognise the male actor. He was already good looking in Skins right. Like the boyish cute.

BUT WTFBBQ NOW HE IS A MINI BEI KE HAM MU ( beckham ) ! He has become a man... this is one suave man.
