My sweety brought me out for dinner on Monday. It is located just by the road so it's not too hard to spot! It's an italian restaurant located at Tanjong Katong which is interestingly run by Japanese! We learnt from the japanese manager ( maybe low profile boss) that the chefs are all japs too!! The other server was also a Japanese who can't speak english at all. So when we tried to talk to him he either didn't answer us at all or he just " hai ! " all the way. Lol. Anyway the restaurant was spacious yet cosy at the same time! Quite romantic actually. I think Italian restaurants are all quite romantic.
Maybe it was a Monday night that's why there wasn't a crowd, but the food was pretty good!
They serve complimentary bread too!
BAHAHA! I love bread.. but i love free bread more lol. Haha kidding, the bread was mediocre only. But they had bread sticks! I like bread sticks!!
He ordered this ratatouille alike thing as an appetiser ! I don't eat parma ham ( because i don't eat raw food) but the combination of this dish was super tasty! The white blob on top is some cheese .. i was quite full after this dish already because the cheese was quite heavy! But damn nice i love the roasted veggie in this dish.
I had the crabmeat linguine with cherry tomatoes and zuchinni in tomato cream sauce. Woah, what a mouthful. It was supposed to be in tomato sauce but i changed it because i've been wanting to eat tomato cream for the longest time even though the manager recommended the tomato based one. It was alright .. the crab meat was too finely shredded i could barely taste it la but other than that it still satisfied my pasta craving!!
Can't wait to try the one at changi village. *slurps*
He ordered lamb rack in straw something something. I can't remember. But it really came wrapped in straw. I think it was bbq-ed like that.. the bbq flavour packed a punch!
Serving it on the plate
It came with so many condiments! It was my first time eating lamb ( eating my own kind :x ) it was ok! but the portion was really small , not quite worth it i think. And the veggies at the side were cooked with so much salt i actually felt my kidney malfunctioned for a moment. HAha ok i exaggerate but really damn salty!
I googled about this place and realised that they are really popular for their pizzas. damn!
They look damn good and apparently i read that they are the only restaurant chain in Singapore or even SEA that does napoletana pizza! Woah! How did i miss it!
After finishing a bottle of wine there.. we headed for more drinks at Five at Cuppage. Lol. After dinner I totally felt like i was drugged. I was dozing off every where. Red wine really has this sleepy effect on me. ( Side track, once i fell asleep for an hour I thought i only shut my eyes to rest for 1 min ! Thankfully i was with my sweety the other time too so i slept very safely and sweetly hehe)
This was how red i was after the wine. Haha. My asian flush is getting out of hand.
Went to Five and he actually planned a surprise for me!! With his friends and mine! So cute right.
I even received a box of macarons from him. * angel face* so happy...!! When he does things like that all my doubts vanish into thin air. <3 It is always about the thought of wanting to make me happy that moves me.
Went to club 9 after that and had 4 towers and a waterfall. I really wanted to just sleep on the floor.. haha. It's really impossible that my tolerance didn't improve since i've been training so hard already. I still get red after a glass of choya. Sigh...

Went to BKK!!
Now that i am blogging about it i can't even remember what i did there. I think we went to platinum food court of the first day.
We had the beef noodle soup and orh jian.
Love the orh jian. Ok side track.. I just need to share about this place. The only place you can have that kind of crispy orh jian in Singapore is this restaurant at OCBC building. I used to frequent this place very often when I was younger. The restaurant is right at the car park. Something like Helipad haha but much more atas of course. It's called Beng thin restaurant and it serves hokkien food. The mango duck salad is damn famous also please try it... And this is a pic of the crispy orh jian which i conveniently stole from the web. Just check out the succulent oysters and paper thin egg omg.
Ok anyway.
2nd day we went to hunt for the famous wanton me at pratunum. I've walked passed this place a couple of times already but never got to try it. Finally did this time, and it's really nice ley.
There is no sauce at all.. The noodle is just coated with pork lard which is oh so fragrant! The char siew is super lean. Love it. i hate fatty char siew.
i think we went to siam after that..
so we went to Grey Hound cafe. So sad because i wanted to try the red velvet waffles from Another Hound cafe but Another Hound was closed for renovations *stabs*
I wasn't hungry because we just had wanton mee not long ago so I only ordered a dessert!
Sijia had a pasta
did my nails at union mall for $8 only hehe.. which chipped right after. -.-
No wonder it's only $8 right. But so happy.. love the daisy design. I love daisy!!
Outfit of the night because we were going to club!! We wanted to go to safe house which every one recommended but damn, they were closed! Thankfully Funky Villa and Club Demo were just beside. The club is at Thong Lor, aka the haji lane of Singapore. so the crowd was a lot better than RCA! So we went there and so coincidentally we made friends with the owners there who brought us to tour the club !! We left after two hours because we forgot we haven't packed our luggage yet and we have to check out the next morning. haha.
Wanton mee again on the last day, but i had the soup version this time. I actually prefer the soup version. Haha. It's nice because it's different. The real nice wanton noodle is really in hongkong. Ahh i wanna go hongkong.

Had dinner at Relish on Monday.
It's located above Gastronomia Dapaolo so it's not hard to miss!
This is the best mushroom soup i've had in my entire 22 years of living. The chunks of mushrooms were well defined and the splash of truffle oil in the soup just sent me to heaven. I don't even like truffle oil or the smell of it but this was so good... i am slowly beginning to appreciate the petroleum taste lol
Had a portobello mushroom burger .. which i guess real mushroom lovers would have loved.. but i kinda regretted my order because the mushroom was abit smelly and it's not a burger if there is no meat patty ! This is the first time i'd rather have meat in my meal. Fries were well seasoned and crispy though! i love fries ~~
Poached pear and blue cheese burger. Omg i didn't like this at all.. it was a weird combination and there was peanut butter on the bread. :/ I guess i'm really not too adventurous when it comes to food. Haha.
So that was my 3rd week of August. School just started for me and i already have a presentation next week, the week after and the week after next. Fast and furious sia.. But that's good because i have less things to do during recess week. Maybe i can even go on a holiday bahaha. I need to stop thinking about leaving this country. But my heart is here because my family is. My mom picked me up from the airport when i got back and she cooked me a bowl of tomyum noodles at 2am because i told her i didnt even get to eat tomyum when i was there. So touched. I love her.
And now my mom is watching this korean drama while i'm just multi tasking. The girl in the show said " I have the patience to wait for the things I want. I waited two years to buy the bag I like. I like you more than all my bags add up together. I can wait for you for 5 years, 10 years, so don't belittle me. " and the guy replied " but you'll cry..."
So sad. * scrambles to download show on my comp* Haha.. i kid. I don't watch k-dramas~
I was just reading through my old posts and found this so applicable:
"Their life is full with friends and acquaintances and a bunch of people who are tagged on Facebook smiling in photos with them. None of these people are you, and if they wanted you, those people would be you."
Last day of school tmr! Can't wait.
