Staycation : Park Royal at Pickering // 5 Izakaya Bar // Wine Connection

Hello! Popped by the new Park Royal at Pickering this weekend! Don't really take many pictures of hotels but this is definitely one that deserves a post. It's so pretty! The rooms are not say very big but it's cosy and it's very nice!!! Because it is very new, the place is super clean and the service was awesome too. The stuff were were super helpful and efficient.

 Room with blind up

The Central is just a stone's throw away. Can go for lunch/ dinner if you're staying at Park Royal.
Hong Lim food centre is just behind also, we went to have the famous curry chicken it was awesomeeee. Explored a bit of chinatown after~

Wah, was really excited to visit the pool but when I was there, I was like. Huh. Haha. It's beautiful, but the infinity pool is sooo small! Kinda ironic given its name.
They also have these bird cage like decor with huge sofas in it. Quite nice :)

See what i mean, the pool is so small! I would have thought this pool was not meant for swimming just by looking at this picture. ( HAHAHH. Side track. Suddenly recalled this. There was once Xinyi , Jorene , Sijia they all went to MBS... They went to this " baby pool" and kept wondering to themselves why the pool was so freaking tiny. Turned out that it was a pond they werent supposed to enter .. LOL.  Xiao si wo omg. k abrupt end of story)
Headed over to 5 Izakaya Bar at Collyer Quay, which I researched serves cheap beer.   No place can beat Sauce's $25 for a bucket or $6 for a bottle promotion. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found this place ! My friend and I walked there.... Not very far, it's walkable, but you are sure to sweat when you reach there, and there is no aircon there.. YIKES.

A cup of Asahi costs $5+++ and I believe that's less than a bottle.. ( I can finish in 3 gulps)  but whatever lo. Still kinda cheap. Housepours like Absolut Vodka are also going for $5++ . We also had a Choya!! Super not worth it in my opinion because they only give you about one shot of it and a huge bottle of Choya can be bought at $40! Also ordered a pizza ($16) should have order other food like burgers or finger food because those were only going for $5.90 or $6.90. Quite a good place to chill la. Nothing to shout about but the prices are resaonable.. and there's live music! The only gripe? NO AIRCON T_T

We had these, plus one more glass of beer and one choya. Bill came up to $43+ pretty ok. But I wld choose sauce anytime!! I LOVE SAUCE. Sauce is more for youngsters, whereas this place was more like, for working adults coming down to chill after work lo.
Didn't have enough drinks so we went down to Wine Connection at Robertson Quay!
If you like wine, this is the place to go! Wines there are kinda dirt cheap. I saw a few at $19 only.
Had a bottle of this , and another class of i-cant-rmbr-what ( I am obviously not a wine person) and bill came up to... $49. Was slightly high after that already. 2 people finished so uch i was so full and bloated by then!

Went back and had a good night rest. Part 2 soon!
