The Cajun Kings

Hello! 

Really regretted cutting my hair max. Damn sad I want my long hair now.

Went to The Cajun Kings on Friday to celebrate my friend's birthday!

It's right beside Wimbly Lu, so if you can, keep some space in yr tummy after dinner and hop over for desserts because they serve really good waffles!

It is located at Jalan Riang.... and it is as ulu as it sounds. Nobody drove so we walked all the way there from Serangoon MRT station omg. My legs were bbbrreeaakkking. Haha, I lie. I think it's about a 15 mins walk only. But we were all perspiring like mad by the time we got there.

 Some of the sides we ordered. Everything was good, decent, and affordable.. but nothing out of the world. We ordered the sweet potato fries , but they served cajun fries instead. So when we asked to change it, they gave us the cajun fries for free ( YAY!! LOVE FREE FOOD! ) and I finihed 4/5 the basket of sweet potato fries myself. It was sooooooo good!! My friends said i came here to eat the fries haha. Fish and chips were good too!

I didn't try the deep fried pork belly because the sound of the name already makes me get goosebumps but they all said it was shiok!!!

For the seafood, you can choose between the 3 cooking styles.

( Original boil, king's mix, and some garlic butter) 

I did a bit of research on this place before coming haha. 

We had this in garlic butter style with clams. Quite a big crab. I forgot to try the clams. But i think you can skip the clams if you are there because no one talked abt it .. guess it was pretty forgettable

Usually for the lobster they will recommend the original boil so you can enjoy the freshness and sweetness of the seafood itself without it being masked by other condiments.

So we had this in original boil, and boy was it delightful.

 But come to think of it, eating lobster is such a waste of money. It is like eating prawn except that they call it lobster and charge you an exorbitant price for it.  I am happy with my king prawns.

You know how we just eat with our thumb and index finger right.. Mario eats with her entire palm!

Like she will put her hands into the bag of prawns and giap out as many prawns as she can with her hands. Like those giap giap machine that giap toys. HAHAHA. She's a joker. I always laugh until my stomach pain when im with her. Even this pic.. you see she's just grabbing all her food like that haha

 We ordered two rounds of food because more people came and some of them were still hungry. I forgot to take pics of the rest of the food that came later sorry! My hands were damn dirty then already! 

We initially ordered 500g of prawns in King's mix ( spiciness level 2) and i think it was my favourite out of everything there!! I would go back for the prawns. They are so fucking sweet and juicy and the sauce is damn shiok. We ordered another 250g of it after in the same sauce but spiciness level 3 this time and we all prefer the level 3! 

Jerome who can't even take a bit of spiciness was asking me to order it level 3 the 2nd time because level 2 was not spicy at all! Level 3 was finger licking good teehee.

Also ordered 1kg of bamboo clams which i didn't touch because it looked damn disturbing to me. But they ordered it twice so i think it should be pretty good. 35bucks for 4 pieces. Worth it or not you decide!!

 Total bill came up to $580... And I just realised that the tax and service charge was about $90 yikes! When I open a cafe next time every thing will be nett. Omg. And I think just don't order the beer because it's just a jug. And it's 41 bucks  which is a rip off i feel.

But every thing else was great. Lovely service. Staff were extremely polite and helpful.

And it was an enjoyable experience for all of us I guess.

And very entertained by Mario the entire night lol.

We went to Playhouse after this and so happy my friends came and joined i love them so much.

They are the treasures in my life.

And then we went over to neverland and drank some more.

This is the first time I had memory loss from drinking.

Because i was happy and sad at the same time haha. 

But it was a great night nonetheless.

Han wei sent me home i love this girl a lot but she secretly hates me but i know deep down she loves me haha.

Went to Zouk with Sijia and Jorene on Saturday.

We kept disturbing Jorene that she's a late bloomer because she totally enjoys clubbing now.

Lol. 

Quite a great weekend. 

I can officially sleep till anytime i want tomorrow. Shiok max.
